Thanks Paul. I honestly believe these Nymolabs machines are the best value under 2k. You can get one of these without breaking the bank and you're ready to start running projects right away without having to upgrade anything. You don't even need a computer connected to it.

Great review,Dave. The 6040 seems more heavy duty than the 5040. If I remember right, the table size for both are the same. Am I right? Do the 6040 come with a Spindle or a Router? Love your reviews!

Thanks for watching Dennis. The NBS-6040 is a little bit bigger than NBX-5040 (NBS-6040 is 600 x 400, NBX-5040 is 500 x 400). There are a few other differences that I'll cover in a future video, but both machines are great.

I noticed you ran the machine at 150in/min. I believe it's capped at 120 out the box. The website states a max speed of 4800mm (188in/min) but doesn't mention anything on acceleration. Have you tried changing the stock 50mm/sec^2 (1.97in) to anything greater? Just curious since I just started adjusting parameters recently!
@DaveGatton
@DaveGatton 22 күн бұрын
Yes. I have changed many of the GRBL settings to get faster acceleration and feed rates. The default settings are pretty conservative, which is good for a beginner. Thanks for watching.

WOW! Great review, Dave. The extra cost makes this one a much better choice. With a larger work area, an E-Stop and if I remember right, the Honeycomb base makes it a no-brainer over the mini. That's just my opinion.
