Making a Besom Witches Broom, Stuart King

Many Traditional English crafts have disappeared during the last seventy years or so, and many of those that are left are in danger of going the same way. This short film covers the making of besom brooms, once a common sight and commodity in most country homes large and small. They also played a part in many industries. Adam King lives in the Chiltern Hills and is one of the last Broom Squires now plying this once ubiquitous and skilled occupation.
