Making a branding iron on my CNC

I order an extended RAW 1.5 xxl extended just after seeing this video! Soo cool. Looking for burn stamps for my home furniture making and find them for around 550€ in Sweden. And a machine for 4500€ seems better so really hoping I can make one to :) Keep up your really nice posting of videos!! Cheers

Great video! Can you share what type of endmill you're using? Is it a V groove? All i can find on eBay are PCB, I'm looking for on capable of cutting into brass. Thank you

Leba To roughing toolpath I use a 3.175 endmill And to the finishing toolpath I used this s.aliexpress.com/bMBN3YnI The ones named js33001

Amazing work! Is your CNC the belt or rack and pinion model? We were looking into the raw cnc but are worried about the extra play on the rack and pinion when doing precision work.

Björn Hallberg Thank you, Björn! It's the rack model. I think the precision is amazing. But since I started in June with this and before that I just seen these machines on KZbin so I’m maybe not classified to have any opinion on that at all. But for those things I done so far it’s over my expectations though.

What was your depth of cut? was it just a pocketing routine you used?

Jeff R Unfortunately I don't remember what deep and toolpaths I used. 🤔 I tried a lot of different trial versions of Cad/cam program back then. But I think that was something called smart engraving in Artcam. Cheers Eric

ok, no problem...asking around and depending on your machine...think i'll try 0.01" and a slow feed rate something like 10ipm

What is the total Z machining height / max material thickness on your machine? Also, is there a video on the coolant system you have installed?

Björn Hallberg 125mm but if you want to extend it a little bit you can take away the Valchromat table. I have done a video to another follower. But I don't have that on KZbin If I can get your email so can I send it to you.
