Mike, great video. Just found your channel and really appreciate that your videos are focused on education, as well as demonstration. I am a fairly new turner, and have been waiting until my skills have improved to the point where I can tackle a Burial Urn. I had to put down my dog of 15 years last fall, and think that if I can make him a nice urn it would actually help me get over his passing. So thanks for this inspiring content, and please keep posting videos

Absolutely gorgeous! I had the pleasure of watching you do a demo in Washington state a few years back. Such a master of the craft! Thank you for sharing!

Mike, the original was long but i really enjoyed it and have watched it many times. I credit you for teaching me how to do hollow forms even though we have never met. Thanks for all the good advice over the years. Your a great teacher!

You mentioned that the quilted/curly redwood you used is “readily available” to you. I live in Southern OR. Where do you source your redwood, do you buy it, harvest it yourself? and the second question is did you make that large vacuum chuck?

I made the vacuum chuck. I do buy redwood from the coast or find them in wood yards in the area

Do you have a link to the armbrace handle youre using? I used to use the old stewart system and loved having an armbrace for hollowing.

I'd also like to know where to find an arm brace.

Hi Mike, when you are hollowing, are you making pull cuts or push cuts or both? Thanks
