@@uhenoalvarez3480 All power hammers are alive, even the new ones. They all have their own sound and character. The artist smith I go to for lessons has the smallest one I have ever seen (I call it the wee green striking machine) It's only about 4 feet tall but it does the work just fine. All of the power hammers I have ever seen fascinate me. I remember the first day I saw the wee green striking machine in action, it was my first smithing lesson ever and I was far more impressed with the work being done on it than the viking knife I was making by hand. I loved my first lesson and the piece that emerged at the end, but power hammers are where it's at! (edited for spelling errors)

Sir watching you make that bar took me back 65 years or so. When I was a kid I used to help my dad do all kinds of that work my job was to turn the forge and help, where ever he needed. We had no power tools his trip hammer was attached to his shoulder by a lot of bone and muscle. We were farmers and there was always plow shears that need to be pounded out and tempered. After doing 16/20 pieces on a hot summer day it was time to hit the swimming hole as fast as we could get there. I learned a lot about life doing that but at the time I just wanted to be somewhere else but now I'm glad I wasn't. I'm in my 80s and still mess around with stuff a bit. My friends think I'm crazy and they may be rite. A great vid to be sure.

All these years I've been using the various individual leaves for an assortment of functions and they've served me well. The transformation if a simple leaf into that superior tool was highly engrossing.

Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us. I’m proud to be a hard working blue collar man and I feel that there’s not much I can’t do. But without guys like you motivating me and Im sure other guys to try new things out of our normal skill sets we would get stale. For lack of a better word. I don’t have an air hammer but thanks to an old carpenter who hated the noise of an air compressor I can swing a hammer. So this winter I’m gonna build my first forge! Thanks again and please keep sharing and teaching! God Bless you and your family brother!

So much work that goes into such a simple tool. This is where one has to appreciate the craft that goes along the hours put into this. Now I can see why you have such appreciation for tools. New or old. It's truly a work of art.
