I realy enjoy listening. Its learning and informative. Mr canterbury,,,,you held a seminary in sweden about bushcrafting. I was there. It was awesome. You talk slow and clear. Easy to follow. Thank you. :)

One of General Baden Powell close friends was Major Frederick Burnham. He as a woodcraft & adventurer / warrior of a epic scale . I know you would enjoy his book Scouting on Two Continents. It's not about BSA but of survival.

Have you ever worked with o1 tool steel? If you haven't you should try it. It is a simple forging or stock reduction blade making steel and is oil hardening.

Where can I purchase a wooden grind jig like that?
@campfiretrickery7 жыл бұрын
for handle material is it possible that you can use a wood you have collected and cured from your general woods .
@jay903747 жыл бұрын
Of course, just make sure its dry, if its hard it will work, if soft not so good.
@justinnuckles93267 жыл бұрын
Now, why would you do a rat-tail if you weren’t trying to reduce the material used due to cost? Not trying to be contrarian at all. Are there advantages to the rat-tail over full-tang?

Dave great info did not know anything about how the name Bush Craft came about and do not understand why the hell is became so popular why do we here in the states refer to that name in stead of just the old American standard WOODCRAFT this whole business of adopting or replacing the AMERICAN name for some thing from another country leaves a bad taste in my mouth it's just a real bummer. Your the expert on all this how did it happen . I'm 74 now and all this comes a real disappointment , but I am also new to viewing all this stuff but it seems you do have it all sorted out your video's are just as I would do and have done over the the past years so good luck Dave and happy Trails . I'm sticking to WOODCRAFT
