Making a Cable Spool coffee Table DIY

In this video, I am showing you how I made a coffee table out of a wire spool. This is a 48" in diameter spool with 4"x 4" legs
tools you will need:
hand Tools
screw driver pliers, sockets, hammer, ( to help you take apart and clean up spool), tape measure.
-power tools
sander, saw ( any kind will work )
Jointer and planner are nice to have but not necessary
(you can buy already planned and squared lumber)
-other materials
stain of your liking
poly of your liking

Looks amazing. I just received 4 spools. 1 is already taken apart and ready to make into my kitchen table. How or did you remove the nails and all out of the top. I have looked at the one i have and it almost looks impossible without cutting them out? Thanks for your inspiration and information!

Hey Candice, I did not remove the nails, like you said they are impossible to remove, what I did is I drove the ones that were sticking out in and I sanded the top many of the nails also got sanded smooth with the top ! Good luck with you project I hope it comes out awsome!

Lucy I used Dark Walnut #269 stain from Varathane.

I did! and same here I wanted a little lighter it matches our couches a little too much ! It feels that I can never get the stains right!
