@@zimmtex Not sure, but I think software can take a 3d lure in a file and insert a hollow object that would simulate an air bladder. Have the printer print the lure and just not fill in the air bladder with plastic. then you could drill on the bottom, insert weights and epoxy them in.

I love your work! Maybe the Shad glide for the next one. I’m having difficulty describing my idea for future builds. First a lure that lays on its side with an up and down motion instead of side to side. Maybe mimicking an injured baitfish on the fall or slow retrieve. Also employ this up and down motion to mimic a flatfish like a small flounder. Have not seen any bait makers intentionally make a lure with a “dolphin-like” tail action.

Amazing work! I purchased the GIRAFVINYL Holographic Heat Transfer Vinyl, but I cannot remove the back film to apply it to my lures. Any special trick?
@zimmtex2 жыл бұрын
I know it can be tough; I use an xacto knife to pick them apart. Also, there is a clear top film that will need to be removed as well. I usually remove the back layer, stick it to my lure (loosely), peel off the clear top layer, press, heat, press again (with padding). I had a great suggestion from a subscriber to get heat resistant silicone to use for heat pressing.

If you were to make this sort of look lure but want it to be able to sink to 30-40 metre depths and jig up how would you place the weights?
@zimmtex2 жыл бұрын
I would extend the 'belly' towards the rear so I could get more weight closer the bottom middle of the bait. To get down that deep I would add as much as I could fit in there. Great question!
@riverboundoutdoors44929 ай бұрын
Looks amazing love the content. I tinker around with baits myself and been debating on trying this lure. I do have a question? How stable is this lure if you burn it in like reeling it in fast?
@zimmtex9 ай бұрын
This one is honestly not incredibly stable at faster speeds. I think it could use a larger air pocket. One of those trial and error things. It does fine at slower speeds. Sometime you just gotta fish a lure the way it wants to be fished.
