The drone footage was awesome! The spoon came out amazing! Way better than I thought it would be and way better if I ever tried to make one. I would end up with one chop stick. I really like how the handle was a little offset from the bowl. Unique and yet useful. Great video! Really enjoyed. Thanks

Glad I'm not the only one with a pile of carved spoons! I usually use a crooked knife, but it's so much better than just carving spoons. People built canoes with those knives! Might try this burn method, though. Take care!

Dude props on using the Eldris. The entire knife-using community seems completely baffled by this little Mora for some reason but I've found mine to be endlessly useful and an absolute joy to carry. Also, I think we've all overcut our stop cut before, don't feel too bad. The second spoon I ever made I had a total brain lapse and cut all the way through. Luckily I hadn't started on the bowl yet so there was very little work lost.

Nice one man! Red cedar is a biatch to carve sometimes but it sure is purty! I made my first burn spoon out of white cedar. My teacher showed us how to use reeds to make straws as little blower things. It keeps you from getting light headed! haha Came out pretty good. Great to see all thise bright green leaves! I can't wait to see them in Maine! Hope you enjoy the rest of spring! 🤘

Hey scrambled o, great video! I'm a big fan of the burn technique, and I wanted to send over a tip that I learned from watching Alone. Jose from I believe season 2 episode 3 makes a blow tool specifically for forcing a lot of air into a small location with minimal efforts. You should really check it out! It's easy to make an multi purpose. Really helps out the burn method
