Can you make more tutorials on making colored tubing prep? I’m a new glass artist aswell and I have no idea how to make fun prep. Like when you took the thick rod and added the 2 lines of black to it and then coildpotted that into a fun blank! I’d love some more tutorials on making fun tubing/blanks :) thanks!

Damn I miss blowing!!! I used to use 12m rods to wrap over 1in heavy wall tubes for a double layer of color with fume. this brought me back! love the coil technique btw!!

Is fuming literally just off gas from the rod? Im confused on that. Just started myself a month or two ago and there just so much to learn 😅

When you introduce fine silver to a neutral/reducing flame it vaporizes/boils and the vapor/fumes stick to the glass!

fume is a color effect achieved by using the fumes from precious metals (gold & silver) to color clear glass. The piece of metal is placed on the tip of a glass rod and then the metal is placed between the torch head and the glass you wish to apply the color to
