The other day I received two phone calls from Texas saying that my social security number has been detected in fraudulent actions, and that there will be a warrant out for my arrest if I did not stay on the line to speak to an IRS agent - my first thought was The Hoax Hotel and all of these videos with these types of scammers.

I got a call from Kent, WA, that said I was in some trouble with SSA in Texas. Didn’t call back bc I don’t have burner. Kinda bummed - wanted to try messing with them.

@@TheHoaxHotel I've been getting constant calls since October from an "unavailable" number, but it's always the same woman with the same story: She's gonna be serving me with a subpoena at my place of work or at home within 72hrs UNLESS I call certain number and refer to a certain case number (apparently mine). If I don't settle out of court via phone with some bogus lawyer firm in Texas - I'll end up being served with the subpoena... end up in court, and/or ultimately in jail... usually for "several counts of fraud", but she uses other threats too. I'm in California and have nothing to settle.. but she knew my ex last name & current bank! My comment is under this post because the OP also mentions a *Texas* based scam, and other similarities such as fraudulent activity being under the name & SSN of a victim. Googled the number she left me the first time and it appears I'm FAR from being the only one she does this to. It's some kind of a new scam, and innocent victims are paying.. because they are afraid of all the legal lingo she throws at them. She's also harassed their families in order to make the victim pay up! Most of the time she goes by "Christina".. and always claims to be a "process server" for the State.. working for a company called "something Express" (I could get you that info if you're at all interested in messing with her, as I've saved all of her voicemails.. of which there are usually 2 per day, mostly in the morning. Not every day, but if anyone ONCE answers the phone or calls back - she'll keep calling endlessly & leaving her often barely understandable threats - evidently a script). Now, the facts are that State of California (for example) doesn't use out-of-state process servers, and neither does anyone notify you of a subpoena, especially not over your cellphone. I'm sure that MANY people would appreciate it & be extremely grateful if you were to reel in this little (big?) catch, and show her some Hoax Hotel hospitality. 😉 Please let me know if you can/wish to do so & I'll provide all the info I have so far. The only 2 problems I can see (but you might see right through them) are that she always calls from an "unavailable" number, and that she keeps switching the number to which the victims are supposed to call. As soon as one number is reported online as a scam, she gets rid of it & leaves a different one on her next voicemail (or if a person answers, gives it to them). She's scammed thousands of dollhairs by now, I'm pretty certain.. and I think it's mainly from elderly, and other innocent people who have never in their lives seen the inside of a courtroom & would like to keep it that way! What baffles me (and others who have been called by her, I've read) is how does she get our mobile phone numbers in the first place!? 🤔 Sorry for a book of a post, but I'm very interested in whether you'd be up for this new and challenging scammer situation? I've been getting fake calls from "Apple" the last couple days, have you done calls from those scammers? They start with a recorded message about my Icloud account being hacked, than say to press 1 to talk to an Apple rep. I don't think I even have an Icloud account. I've never pushed 1, as I don't wanna waste my time, but after the first one I Googled it and found out it's a scam.
