lovely work! i think it's a reasonable cost, although more than i could pay haha, but it's fair for the amount of effort it requires! And your accent is fantastic, i could listen to you talk all day!

8:47 I'm building something like this but on a cabinet swing UP door. I will be mounting a TV on it, which will weight 20kg total with the door. How do you go about doing this for full support?
@rtrenovations10 күн бұрын
Hi mate, it's kind of hard for me to picture what you're building, but that being said 20kg shouldn't give you that much trouble, here we're talking about someone like me (130kg) sitting on it. Again I don't think you'd have problems with just 20kg, but I hope I'm not just talking out of my ass because I have not seen it in more details.

@@rtrenovations nono, its a swing up cabinet. to better understand its like ikea UTRUSTA. Of course not using ikea. Using normal soft-close hinge and gas struts just like yours, do you think that will support?
@rtrenovations4 күн бұрын
@@jackipiegg Not with these gas struts, those can only support 10kg and that's including the door. If you could, you can put more than one, however personally I'd try to find hardware that is specifically designed for that.
