Making a Conveyor Belt with an Arduino and a Stepper Motor

Probably better if the motor pulls the belt rather than pushes it. Belt will stay tighter too.

I did a similar thing with my son, for his STEAM fair, the thing is we built a simpler version and didn’t use ARDUINO, we plugged the engine directly into the battery, you can control the speed by having less batteries V (1.5V x2 vs. 9Vx1) and you can change the direction of the conveyor belt by simply reversing the polarity of the batteries(plug + in -, or other way around).

Lol wow what are the odds. I just happened to make a belt 3d printer (the "infinite" ones with a slanted gantry and conveyor belt as a bed) over winter vacation, and was looking for alternatives to the conveyor belt itself. Hadn't even considered using shower pan liner; I'll have to give it a try.

Pls buy a g-clamp, that will help you in your cutting, drilling and sanding process by holding the woodpiece really tight on your table Also use masking take on plywood when drilling or cutting to preve t ugly cuts

What material did you use for the belt itself?

It was a PVC rubber shower pan liner roll. I don't think the material matters, it's moreso about getting the tension right.

sir can you explain me the program for what int pin = 3 is used?

It has been quite a while but i believe pins 3 and 4 were both used for the stepper motor, one for step and the other for direction.
