Super Champ! Ring looks awesome. As I binge through all the Forged and Fire seasons it's clear they need your skill and humor to be part of the show on a regular basis.

I have one of these and it's absolutely beautiful! My wife and I are huge fans of yours champ and I'm honored to own a piece of your work. You should have replaced Wil Willis when he left! If you ever want a customer testimonial, hit me up, just stay away from my wife! She's too big of a fan!

Love the pattern on that Damascus. I assume the coffee etch causes that really light/dark contrast? Not a blacksmith, but always curious!

sure did. Coffee is naturally acidic and will "etch". very slowly but it also "stains" (think about teeth) and helps make those darks, darker for added contrast. The ferric chloride sets a "deep" etch and the coffee brings in a darker tone. This is a pretty simplified explanation and I'm sure there is more science involved. I don't always use coffee as ferric can bring it some high contrast in itself but I figured I'd show an example in the video and also darken up a piece as best I could because all the touching of a ring will surely lessen the contrast over time.
