You need a way for those spring "cups" to drain; they will fill up with water, mud, and dirt, resulting in corrosion of the spring, perch, and control arms.

my dad had an 05 x type 3.0 manual and he had to replace some sort of exhaust component, i was to young to understand/remember what is was but we had to drive it with no exhaust for a couple days and all i remember is constantly asking my dad to rev it out and floor it because i couldn't get enough of the sound, amazing, such an underrated car if you ever can find a manual v6 x type it wont let you down, great car

This is the least bodgy bodge job you could do without having to modify more than just the suspension tbh, the only difference between this and doing it properly is that they could have added a few cm of extra travel by getting purpose made longer shocks and springs instead of adding height to the standard ones.
