When you really break it down, carbon fiber is just carbon re-enforced plastic resin. When you are asked "hey, you want to go down in a sub made of carbon re-enforced plastic?", doesn't have that same "feel good" ring to it.

You should tap epoxy onto a fabric with a brush and not smear it on

Y’all really need to wear respirators around carbon fiber. Every time you touch it you’re sending a bunch of small pieces flying. I used to work with it in the military stay safe fellas and keep up the content 😎

Most likely it was make using prepreg. That sub failure is a perfect example of why companies need to listen to the engineers they hire when they speak up about potential issues.
