I've never thought of using my printer like that before, very cool. How long did you leave it in the clamps?

I left it for 3-4 hours. I got the 3D printed to help me with stuffs for leather crafting but I am yet to fully utilise it for that cause I got carried away with printing all the other fun stuffs haha. 3D Printing is addictive.

I've never seen that you apply some finish or oil on your leather. Why?

Interesting. Although I hear its bad to use a metal bowl to soak the leather encase theres any residual oil on the metal that will get into the leather and potentially ruin the dying process. At 2:10 are you beveling the edges? Why did you burnish first then bevel if thats the case? I wish I had a 3D printer now, I'd love to print my own logo for projects.

I would've mounted the block to a wooden block first and then clamped it then the impression would have been deeper and more even. The leather was too wet. You get better impressions if you soak it, let the surface dry more first. If an antiquing type stain had been used, wipe off so you get a two tone effect it would've been clearer, more contrast. 5 ft rule. Step back 5 feet. At the first stage. Can you see the details from 5 ft? Then do the stain. Still see details? No? Try again change the stain. Use a lighter shade.

Great job. Maybe next you could try to make some leather gloves.
