Your videos are beautiful, i seriously love what you do. Im 17 and consider going to university ti either study chemistry or botanic science. I have always had a love fir flowers and natural substances. But my passion is art. So i had an idea this summer ti make my own paints out of plants and minerals. So i started to find resources and methods to make my vision come true. You are so helpful and inspiring. Thank you so much

I don't know if you're still doing these experiments, but your videos have been invaluable to me as I work on a similar project. I read one resource that mentions doing an initial grind of the dried pigment in a mortar and pestle followed by a second M&P grind with water before drying again.

It's a really good fabric dye. Cheers!

For your precipitate try dissolving sodium carbonate and aluminum sulfate in their own jars of water and add equal parts of each into your dye. Once the precipitate settles strain it out. Also instead of walnut oil try a "watercolour binder" recipe - equal parts pigment and binder- and use a paint muller to get rid of the grainy-ness :)
