Your plunge lines look great.
@zeemanknives3 жыл бұрын
Thank you...yes, the round file technique does help with beautiful plunge lines. It takes a little more time than to just grind it in, but the end results are so much better.
@elderyoung4163 жыл бұрын
P.S. First time I have seen a round file for the plunge lines. I will try that too.
@zeemanknives3 жыл бұрын
Yes, round files work very nicely for perfect plunge lines...it takes a bit of practice to get the technique right, but once there, plunge lines will never be a problem again.

@zeemanknives Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Joseph. Yes the channel has evolved a bit since the first video I produced. I suppose its a ever changing project. I am currently filming a beginners series where only basic tools are used to make a knife and I explain my setup. All the best!

Good night. Amazing beautiful made Step by step. I have One question , can we use the kitchen woven?
@zeemanknives2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Your kitchen oven will work for tempering after the hardening process...as that usually happens at 180 degrees Celsius. For the hardening heat treatment, you will need something that generates a lot more heat like a forge or kiln, as the temps you work with can range from about 800-1000 degrees Celsius depending on what steel you use.
@Rodrigues-xg3ln Жыл бұрын
@@zeemanknives ok. Great explanation. If you now, you could teach and could you show a tipes of table of the diferentes tipes of steal whith the temperatures of 800 to 1000 This ill help a lot. Thaís One more time for eversing, you are realy a inspiration to as. amatores.and drimers

@zeemanknives3 жыл бұрын

Beautiful work and design. What epoxy are you using? I like how viscous it was. Looks easier to handle than the kind I use. Thanks for sharing.
@zeemanknives3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. I use a product called "Epidermix 372". Its a slow curing epoxy with a cream consistency. It does not run at all which I like about it.

@zeemanknives3 жыл бұрын
Hi Don, thanks for watching. Depending on what the knife is used will be the deciding factor. For work knives like the EDC, typically up 600 grit.
