OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That entire build was RIDICULOUSLY fantastic!!!! I have used mica powder in clear powder paint before. I didn't know the soft plastic pigment could be used the same way. The results are just incredible, no joke Adam, that little bait left me in awe, excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dan! I was psyched about the build in general (always wanted a down-sized chatter!) and all the more pumped to see the skirt pattern and soft plastic idea come together so nicely! Appreciate it my friend, this was a fun one for sure!

Thanks man! That 3" JH, a Slouch, or even a vertically rigged 3.5 Rocket - man they all pair well with these little dudes! Already caught some on the prototype a few weeks back but need to get out and put the finished product to work!

My top 5 all around baits are shakey head, spinnerbait, squarebill, swim jig, flipping jig. Love the color and the small bladed jig is a cool idea and sure to catch them.

Super awesome build start to finish! I caught my 2 biggest fish on a chatterbait in my last tournament. It's one of my favorites to fish. I need to use ½oz and even up to ¾oz because I'm in current on the Tennessee River mostly unless I get into some creek channel pockets. Looking forward to when i can get a mold or 2 and start making more of my own. Learning a lot from you. Appreciate you, all your insights and openly sharing your tips and techniques!

Adam, very nice job. Great looking bait from lead pour through skirt tie and plastic pour. Super creativity. Thanks for shout outs. By the way, I used that mold and a 32900 hook to make some 1/8 oz bladed jigs. Small blades of course. Takes time but worth the effort.

Everything about this was awesome. Think you could do a video dedicated to the paint process used on these baits, couple colors maybe?
@SDGCustomLurecraft2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Harold! Glad you enjoyed the video! I actually have a few videos that show the paint process. One is when I modified the same type of mold to pour 1/2oz heads - I believe I showed the paint process in it. I also have a dedicated video to painting heads… it’s a longer one, more comprehensive. Thanks Rich, glad you liked it! The shops not always that orderly, but I am a creature of order - helps me think! A short video on shop organization, at least how I do it anyway, may be a fun “bonus video” sometime. Thanks again for the ongoing support!

Adam once again thankyou for your time to present this video on your channel...I am too impressed with the paint but however since the Australian dollar has just fell down to 65cents against your greenback dollar...So what does that mean for me no importing anything for a long time to come i am afraid...Just for your info too Adam my top 5 lures to use over here in a season is 1/Buzzbaits. 2/Spinnerbaits 3/Underspins 4/Chatterbaits 5/ Lipless and bibbed Crankbaits... Regards B.J's Custom Baits Australia.

Great choices Brian! I thought I may get some questions/comments why a crankbait wasn’t in my list, but I guess people just know I’m a soft plastic and jig guy! LOL. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!

You might be able to copy the Z Man Hellraiser top water lure with those smaller blades. I haven't seen the originals for sale but I saw a copy already on KZbin. I think it's worth playing with.

My girlfriend and I just found your channel and love your stuff! We've been making lures and pouring plastics for about a year now and your videos are perfect. I have two questions, the link you posted for the medium and tiny vibrating jig blades doesn't exist in Amazon anymore. So can you please tell me where I can find these. We're in Southern Ohio and that medium finesse size is perfect! ( Kinda like the 1/4 oz Chatterbait Mini) Second, I know you can't sell baits with the blade directly connected to an in line hook eye, but it's perfectly fine to make them for yourself. What do you see to be the main pros / cons of the in line connected blades vs. those connected via a split ring on a flat line tie? Thanks for any info. We're looking forward to your next videos!
@SDGCustomLurecraft Жыл бұрын
Hey Matt, glad you and your lady found me! I’ve heard the Amazon connection is dead now. I have been able to find them on eBay. Search for “jig dancer” should give you option, just be careful to pay attention to actual measurements. “Medium” isn’t the same size for all types. Regarding the direct connection… I have seen write-ups of Zman even contacting private-use-only guys (not just sellers), pretty crazy! All the same, plenty of guys still make them direct. You get more noise and the action is more “consistent”. A split ring connection doesn’t hit the head and it tends to hunt side to side more (which can actually be advantageous at times). Hope all this helps!

Are you running that through a fluid bed?
@SDGCustomLurecraft2 жыл бұрын
I am indeed. Original ratio was 3/0 but that was a bit heavy. 6/0 ratio seemed to flow well. Different performance per pigment as some are heavier than others, but 6/0 is a good place to start.
