I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Your eye for painting is incredible. You're one heck of an artist and lure maker. You should make an Iguana lure! They're everywhere down in South Florida. I bet giant bass would destroy it!

As a professional artist, I first started seeing your videos as background sound until I caught interest in your technique, especially the super glue and baking soda. Which I’ve now used in my process as well. Incredible what you can learn from different forms of art! Now I wait for new videos every week lol great work! A puffer fish would be fun to make or a manowar ! As a floater

When that burr bit came out of there on the big mistake i could hear the drill press snickering and softly saying "You'll learn your lesson and come back to me." LOL!! ..... WOW!! That splatter masking fluid technique was a great idea and worked great!!! You always say it's hard to get random. Well that came out wonderfully random. Looks great. ..... im afraid that action and the ditch will not end well for the Flat Head.💀🙃

@mikeoxlong466310 ай бұрын
That would be so cool in soft plastic the action would be crazy!! Or hear me out a soft plastic replaceable tail on a jointed swim bait. I feel it could be feasible to reinforce the soft plastic with a 3D printed piece and make a mold to shoot the plastic around it maybe something for epic bait molds to take a look at lol😉 I think Nate might appreciate the challenge or the comment at least😂 much love keep up the outstanding work!!

Good old hydro dynamics at play here, every object will take the easiest path thru water, the average Glide Baits are a lot higher than they are wide, this gives them the side to side movement. With that catfish being flat and not very high the less resistance was over top & underneath the lure, allowing it to move up & down thru the water column, also the 2 pectorals then worked as a diving lip. A very cool build none the less, and a failure is only if you don’t learn from it 🤷🏼♂️ really enjoy your tips, techniques & carving skills👌

I once was fishing a top water rapala. It was a silver and black minnow, real old skool lure, maybe an inch long. Had a flat head catch fish just destroy that lure on the top. Never got him to in, but he was a good 10 pounds I bet. It was quite a thrill. Beautiful lure. Reminded me of that good fishing trip with my dad. Wish we landed that fish, but he was the one that got away

Another banger video! First of all, I've been watching you for years. Love your videos, especially the two ranking ones! Secondly, I wanted to suggest a video idea, one that I don't know if you have ventured with. Do a video where you challenge yourself to make 4 lures (a 30 minute lure, a 1 hour lure, a 5 hour lure and a 12 hour lure) that you can test out to see which catches more fish. I don't know, it's just a suggestion. Lastly, I hope you do another outside, on-site lure making video like you used to do. Again, love you're videos! Looking forward to more!

Another awesome video! You're on a roll with amazing content!! I can hardly keep up with regular videos 😝 Looks like with some practice I bet you can finesse that glide into some good action, maybe on a slow roll, somewhere where there isn't as much current as the river. The way is dived and wiggled in the test tank on the shorter jerks was pretty lifelike of a big fish boiling and turning down. That could definitely trigger a reaction strike.

As a long time timber lure maker myself, I bet if you put the line tie screw eye an inch to an inch and half from the nose on top of the head, the downward angle already there would act as a lip and the bait would have a lot more action. Just a thought. Worth a shot.
