I know I say this every time, but the video itself is very well made and so much fun to watch. The dramatic intro made me giggle 😂 I think it was fun watching you create this gorgeous doll stand 😍. You don’t have to re-paint a doll every time 👍

I really like seeing these doll-adjacent videos too. Making custom stands, especially when it is a themed diorama type stand, is just as interesting to me as the dolls. It’s all part of the same hobby, in my opinion.

@@SpookyDollLady We put it in a Tupperware bin and ran it under water while mixing it around until the water running off was clear. Since the sand is heavier than the dust, it stays underwater, but the dust mixes with it and washes away. Kinda like when you rinse a carbon packet for a fish tank until the water runs clear. :)

Really, really cool. Why did you add the drop of dish soap to the mod podge and water mixture? And you really need to make Mae behave better....... 😉😄

The dish soap helps break the surface tension of the water so the Mod Podge and water mix more thoroughly and it absorbs into the sand/rocks completely.

Love it, it looks amazing! My only little bit of constructive criticism is that, after you worked so hard to make such a cool piece, it's a little hard to see the whole thing in its entirety. The lighting and underwater effects for the reveal are cool, don't get me wrong, but I wish we got to see the piece in just some normal lighting as well so we could really see all the details a bit easier. Still, this is a beautiful piece that compliments the doll well! 😊💕 Great work, and I can't wait to see what your next project is!!

How does she attach to the stand? With wire?
@DollyPop2 жыл бұрын
So I show a like 6 second clip at the beginning of the seaweed portion that shows the attachment point. Blythe have two holes in the back of the head that you can stick things into. We printed a two-prong attachment point to stick in the head, and then attached it to a rotating camera joint so it’s positionable, then attached all of that to the stand. I had forgotten to include all of that until right before I was going to export the video. Maybe I’ll make a small addendum short or something. 😅
