Thanks for being honest about the entire process. Great way to set expectations rather than a "get rich quick" scheme that churns out junk games.

Great video! Tip for future infinite runner projects: Don't make the player move forward, instead move the world towards the player. This prevents floating point inaccuracy on large distances.

As an indie mobile game developer, I concur with your statements. There is a common misconception that developing mobile games leads to quick profits due to their perceived ease of creation, but this assumption overlooks the challenges involved. The competitive market remains tough, although it may be more favorable than the Roblox game development competitive market. Nevertheless, there is room for enhancement. Crucially, as you rightly pointed out, generating innovative ideas can be a daunting task. Therefore, despite the setbacks, we should continue our creative endeavors in mobile game development to reach our goals. I appreciate this insightful and truthful video.

hey guys, if you are doing a pixel style with low res textures and its making it blurry make sure to change the filter mode on the texture in unity by default its on bilinear, you can set it to point (no filter) to make it sharp and keep the texture low res still watching but love the vid so far, quicker projects like this are always fun

That's the issue. Never judge a video by its numbers. You can always leave if it doesn't deliver. This video is great and documents an honest process. Other videos are just made for a wider audience with no real content.

To increase retention, it is worth trying to redesign management. For example, it is worth trying a more rutted movement as in manners, one swipe to one rut, two swipes to switch to two ruts. Now I just crash into the cubes because I didn't fit into the corridor of the passage

heyo @MikeRoxyGames I was just wondering what the name of the IAP service/tool you use for your games. can you share a link to the service you use for those of us who might want to try what you did for ourselves? I doubt I can finish an entire game in just 24 hours with my schedule but I'd still like to know what what tools/services you use (other than Unity and Blender) for your game dev projects.
@MikeRoxyGames6 ай бұрын
Hey, for IAP we just use unity IAP docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.purchasing@4.11/manual/Overview.html and for the ads LevelPlay mediation. To keep track of the revenue you could either check the developer console (google play) or AppStore connect or you could integrate analytics (game analytics for example) to track the revenue. If you want to know more about the tools we use, check out one of our videos 🙂 if you have more questions, feel free to join our discord discord.gg/vn39M4SW

In the end, maybe that a big company could make people play the game, with effort on marketing and not development, sadly ? :-D To be honest, I downloaded it (not easy to find on my tablet), I wanted to try it to check if it’s fun to play. But the privacy policy seemed to be too intrusive ! I never accept this kind of policy when I launch a game. I appreciate when developers are very respectful of players. (And I understand that others need data and money with free to play, but not with me. :-) )
