I'm not certain, but I think the manual is a fountain pen of sorts.

You could use erasable ink cartridges and then make the reverse setting be the eraser. Maybe ink like from Frixion pens; it erases based off heat, so the eraser is just a hard piece of rubber that doesn't wear like a normal eraser/creates friction

Could you make a comparison video between this and the manual? Like hardest part of making each, total time building each, and like writing/performance side by side and which you prefer more? Very impressive craftsmanship btw ❤

Wow nice Video! I'm looking forward to next half -year. Then I start in my training with metal turning
Neat. I still have a cheapo plastic one like that from when I was a kid which has red, green, blue and black. Only change I'd make is to use brass. I like steel, but I love brass.

Technically that's a linear short shift. Automatic would be if you put it in auto mode and then it came out whenever it was near the paper.

Excellent craftsmanship and clever mechanism design. I really like your small lathe and CNC mill. Personally, I hate those rollerball pens though. But that's personal preference. I also wish there was a way to cover the visible PLA through the slider window - IMO 3DP PLA takes away from your wonderful craftsmanship. But overall it's beautiful and very impressive.

11:10 Nice work, but those ink tubes need to breath and you blocked their air hole, won't be writing much with such a pen.

13:55 YOU KNOW... This... I feel like this concept could be converted into an engine somehow. Like... if the tips of the pens were removed and the blue parts are the pistons, the design of the rotational mechanism could be where we get direct parallel rotational force from said pistons rather than using a cam shaft to get perpendicular transference.. Are there any youtubers out there that specialize in making engines the way Integza does with rocket engines? I feel like we should send them this video.

I really wish the "how it works" section was at the beginning instead of the end. As it is now, the whole video is just watching a guy silently machining random stuff. Idk, maybe that's what everybody else is here for?
