Glad you have vinymo thread and tools now available. I wish you can make a video sharing how you match Vinymo MBT thread color to the leather you use. Using good thread and right size is one thing, matching right color of thread for right color of leather is another. You did it so well.

Beautiful job and great video. Curious as to why you finish the edges before you stain?
@xenosaga22862 жыл бұрын
I work for a leather manufacturer. It makes the edges glassy smooth. You can achieve the same effect this way or by edging/sanding then painting then burnishing the edge with tokonole or wax to seal the edge.
@HonestDoubter2 жыл бұрын
@@xenosaga2286 Tokenole is what he recommends in the top part. Then it was dye over that.

Your precision inspires me to go out and make a mess in my shop... ;-) I try... but I still make a mess. I do learn a great deal about material handling (glue specifically) each time. Your edge dyeing markers are a great idea and I assume that was gum trag in that one... brilliant. Beautiful products and a high mark to which I can aspire. All the best.

I love this design and I've been following your work for a while - well done! One question - I noticed that the exterior leather panel is flush with the interior, yet you were able to get it to fold easily, without any signs of distress on the leather - did you weigh down the final product folded over so that it molded into that shape? I've created this pattern before and I've always found it very difficult to get the wallet to close properly. When i have managed to force it into shape with weights I've noticed it has caused some distortion to the inner panel where the wallet bend happens.
@LittleKingGoods2 жыл бұрын
It’s never been a problem for us but I’ve seen people pre-bend their bifolds before glueing.
