Very cool design. Ingenious really. I just want to add that your helicopter would have flown a lot better had you added a horizontal stabilizer to the tail.

Can you make zero-mass force Neutralisation work? Zero-mass ballasts have zero rigidity connections and supposedly don’t transfer force at all, but can only be held in place with springs or winches. It can be used to lift extremely heavy payloads.

There is a really helpful mod called no bounds mod allowing you to make any value on things like ropes to make the speed as much or as little as you want.

I feel like it's worth noting that while ballasts are lighter and more durable, they aren't that much lighter. A minimum weight ballast is 0.2 while a single wood block is 0.3 and a double wood block or wooden pole are 0.5 (aka 0.25 per section) and a log (triple wood block) is 1.0 It's also worth noting the cost of using braces to support a ballast: each brace weighs 0.5 Using ballasts on flying machines is often a good idea as they're even lighter than wooden poles and unaffected by minor damage, but don't mistake them for feathers

hey, personal pref of course- but if you slowed down your talking speed slightly or even paused between sentences it would be huge. you are speaking extremely fast without any breaks, it can be a bit much in moments.

11:20 that is the entire point of the tail rotor, it opposes the rotational force of the main rotor by shoving air in the direction that the helicopter wants to spin

That's why helicopters have that back rotor on the tail. That is pushing back against that rotation

instead of using other blocks to get higher values just get nobounds it's easier also easy scale so you can make your propellers longer instead of cramming more into the same place

It's actually much, much easier to do this using mechanical linkages and such. (although you do need scaling mods if you want something stable)

You can simply type in the box to increase speed of the rope you don't need to copy and paste unless you got a lot of ropes and are lazy

Thats the weirdest helicopter ever. Normaly you only change the angle of attack of each of the blades, not however the angle of the rotor the body of the helicopter.
