I appreciate you make content with an understanding of different audiences-you spoke on how people eat after weight loss surgery, you demonstrate for people who don’t have all the kitchen equipment, you plan for people who won’t have a microwave at lunchtime, you’re aware of people’s nutritional concerns. Can’t hit every group every time but you clearly put thought into your approach and I think you’re very effective at teaching good basic skills and flexibility. No condescension. Thanks for the work you put into these.

First of all, I really enjoy watching your videos. Super interesting to see what can be done with their seemingly small assortment of food items. Quick thing about cutting the butter into the flour: since our fingers can add too much warmth and melt the butter, using 2 forks to "squish" the butter between them in the flour is a cheap way to cut it in without needing to buy a pastry cutter (besides, the new design of pastry cutters break really easily. Not a fan. There is a wonky looking one I have that was a gift that I thought I'd hate, but I actually love. Also, pastry cutters are WONDERFUL for cutting up eggs for egg salad).

And 3rd, I'm going to brush melted butter on my Thanksgiving pumpkin pies for a golden brown! Thanks young chef for your tips!

All the ingredients with no crust reminds me a lot of Campbell’s chunky soup-the chicken corn chowder. But your combination would maybe make more than one can’s worth. I’d like to share with you my momma’s best pie crust recipe. You need to add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 egg, and 1 Tablespoon of white vinegar. So you’ve replaced 1 Tablespoon of that ice water with the vinegar. I think they will start carrying eggs because I have read many Americans now shop there. But the vinegar is the real secret ingredient to a flaky pie crust. You need the salt for flavor. I think you’re brilliant and in this case you are ahead of your time.

i ALWAYS crimp my pie edges, but i watched you do it, and had to comment to see if just a "finger switch" might make it seem a little easier for ya. i use my thumb and forefinger on the OURTER side of the crust and poke in between them with the other hands index finger then just turn the pie plate to get my task surface in front of me instead of trying to move my body to get to the next area i need to crimp. Its basically the same as you did it, but with a a few subtle changes to make the task easier. Hope you try it next time ya make a pie. Also - are ya working on the EASTER DINNERrrrr yetttt?? LOL

Just a tip for everyone as I make cooking videos myself, if you have a set of exclusively kitchen used scissors, that will help you cut things like those nuggets much more quickly and with less danger of cutting yourself. I even use them with stir fry if the vegetables I’m using are a bit on the larger side, I quickly chop them up (even in the heated pan) using my scissors. Makes life easier for sure!
