In this video we make a large crank bait from wood. It is inspired by Marling Baits.

Great video bud! Keep doing what you do. If you want to make bigger baits then I would recommend saving up for a small belt sander. It would save a ton of time.

Nice work young man!! Engineered Angler has a video on how to figure the density of the wood your using so you don't have to guess so much on how much weight to use to get the desired effect you're looking for. Check with your parents to see if you can post a Post Office box so people can send you things ie: different woods to use, replacement blades, chisels etc.. Just a thought!

This is helpful advice from an experienced bait maker it would be a lot easier if you would Of just got a utility knife or a box cutter to carve the chaffer lines it will just make your job a lot easier then using a chisel in less you know you’ve got a work sharp Ha ha ha

You make some fine lures and I also make lures but you could probably make better ones than me, and what type of clear coat do you use. I also noticed that you watch Marling baits, I’ve been watching his videos fore about 3 years now and I see he is a big inspiration to you and me and probably many other bait makers. Keep up the good work.

You should add a P.O. Box so people can send you wood n such like they do marling. I just started making lures and my problem is painting. I’m terrible. Maybe you could do a tutorial on it and how you change paint colors so quickly. Getting better every time.
@nolansbaits8623 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’ve been thinking about getting a PO Box. And honestly I don’t change color so quickly I just have to edit that out. Just keep trying. You can look at my first videos and see how terrible I was back then...

One thing I recommend you do is buy a kitchen torch I’m 13 so I don’t like to spend a lot and it was really cheap it burns lead in 5 seconds tops and works great It helps because instead of barley fitting one slip shot into the hole I can easily fit 2 maybe Evan 3 just a thought though!!

Thanks. It’s just when you melt lead it releases is toxic fumes. If you do it right you’ll be fine but I don’t have a great ventilation system. So I’d rather be safe than sorry...

Hey Kid, nice video, I've been making baits for a while but I think you could teach me a thing or two. Why don't you use a band saw?
@michaelserra57023 жыл бұрын
I think it is because he doesn't have one and it is expensive to get one. I have one myself and they are like $250 bucks.

Absolutely beautiful work. What airbrush are you using? I want to pick one up soon and try making my own lures. I do woodworking so I already have most of the tools.
@nolansbaits8623 жыл бұрын
This was the iwata HPC eclipse. And thanks!!! It’s the same airbrush Marling Baits uses.
@xKillerSlothx3 жыл бұрын
@@nolansbaits862 That's what I figured. I was trying to decide between that or the cheaper Neo. Should probably just get the Eclipse though
