In VS the moose will attack you if you are close. It is pretty powerful and, considering his settings, might one-hit him.

The moose is bugged (at least for me it is) it just walks up to you and doesn’t do any damage until you actually hit it.

Actually what a knife on shrooms do is allow em to grow back every 8 in game days. ;)

0:55 The arrow always faces north. At the moment it was facing leftwards, which means that you were facing east. Just learn compass directions.

You can make packed dirt by putting 6 of any type of dirt in your crafting grid. 3 across the bottom, 3 across the middle

i wonder if there is a way to access the underwater ruins, a video of you diving into that deep water would make my phobia of underwater man made structures go nuts.

The last video on this challenge inspired me to try it myself. It took me a while to get everything set up right (should probably post the world generation settings as well at some point, just fyi), but doing this challenge taught me a lot about how difficult it can be. For anyone curious, there's a shocking amount of roadblocks that you run into that makes progression difficult. For starters, Clay is RARE! Very rare! Hell, I only recently found an island that had fire clay and i harvested as much as I could in order to play the rest of the game cuz for the longest time I could barely make progress, stuck to simple stone tools and the like. Now my next roadblock is getting enough copper and other metals to make alloys for when I start making iron and steel.

You don't even need a knife to harvest mushrooms. It just harvests faster if you use a knife.

Packed dirt is gonna help you out btw, making it for elevations , temporary structures, or blocking off baddies. That lil hide, i'd use a fat oil it, grab some vines or catail for rope, you'll have a sling for distance attack's as long as you got stones. it's tougher on you cause nearly every piece of land spawned will have a high concentration of dangerous animals and the bandits, cause the engine only spawns them on "safe ground". It looks rough , while I'm enjoying watching what you are doing here, at the same time i sorta want a "water world" with much much larger islands, with more terrain features. I dislike how these are basically mountain tops poking out of water, as can be told by the larch trees that only grow in cold places or high elevations. No reeds is a struggle , no storage , no primitive shield ... Much harder than i wanna go through. I like challenge , but man ... thats too much struggle for me.

Im pretty sure the default setting for the Meteors mod is "non destructive" thus no deposited meteors just an explosion. You can change the setting to allow meteors to actually destroy things and deposit ores(i believe, read up on it but havent added it to my playthrough yet.

Heeey, I'm in the video! Well, my name as translator at least. Like, you really needed some more stuff, a few more options here. Like Carry On, maybe. Also, getting all that bony soil would help get your copper fix, or at least help get a hammer or pickaxe going. Can't use the bars without a forge and a hammer :/ Good luck, man. hey this challenge is super fun! I wonder why all the islands so far have been 95% predators and only 5% prey apparently. ^^' This ruin seems like really good place (comparatively...) for a base, even got some metal to work with. Maybe it's even worth it to plant the turnips asap?
