Trevor looks excellent. Your skills have clearly grown! I think the reason the face looks misplaced is because he DOES look like a beauty influencer. The clear bronze skin, manicured beard, and large lips are so gorgeous, but I think that's why he looks less rugged and more like he can tell me how to keep away acne and haters lmao

I think you might be making the face hair too clean to be properly called rugged. You could give him messier edges by not going all the way to the edge with the black pencil, leave some brown showing.

I think what makes him look too "clean" and polished it how clean his facial hair is, usually a man has clean lines on his brows and beard if he's a little beauty focused. So, stray hairs around the eyebrows and cheeks would make him look more rugged like ur going for

You’re amazing. Also simple tip to masculinization of the face is to simply change the arch direction of the eyebrows. Instead of it to arching up (like most influencers lol), make it the opposite by arch down instead.

@@hisnameisAkin I meant, why didn't you just make the sculpt on the dracula body with the dracula head? Was it too messed up? You didn't have to change the neck or anything, but then you wouldn't have needed to switch out the bodies. Less work, that's all :) There's something mesmerizing about this guy. I see him being an influencer, an actor or a director famous for coiffing perfectly. Then the studio gets overrun by third dimension horrors. One of his battle stats is charisma, and when he gets too dirty, he loses self-esteem and needs a bathroom to do his hair and clean up. Find Hair Gel. Charisma recovered. I'd play it.

Body mods are awesome and the face is beautiful and clean - like a young influencer with a lot of makeup. You have seen pictures of (female) actresses with and without makeup right? What makes the female face "perfect" is getting a rid of every imperfection. And making them look less human. This is not done for male actors, as it would make them look less masculine. So if you are going for a rugged look, you must make it rugged. Not female perfect, what dolls naturally are. And I don't mean scars or anything like that. You could leave imperfections with rougher sanding, You could crate some lines to his forehead and under his eyes with sanding. If you have many layers of paint, try to leave your fingerprints on selected points while the last layer is still drying. Or doing the last layer with a sponge. Try creating colour imperfections by adding some greens and greys. Maybe with "dusting" some almost invisible drops of those colors. Maybe with an almost dry sponge? The eyes should not be wide open and there should be deeper shadow on top of them. The dark "eye liner" line on top and bottom of the eye should not be so distinguished and sharp. It should be considerably wider, but with colour just a bit darker than the skin colour and getting darker towards the eye. For this particular character to rough up his clothes, I might dust some lighter soft pastel to his jeans on knees and butt. Also some light pastel to elbows and shoulders on his jacket. Now he is very beautiful indeed, but cartoonish too.

One thing to maybe help with rugged looks is possibly adding eye bags or dark circles under the eyes, something about that always tends to better pull off the look In character design in general

Your sculpting is incredible as always and the clothes especially the jacket are really cool. I think if you had just made his beard less perfect it would help make him look more rugged. He has that influencer look right now b/c it beard looks perfectly manicured. If you had done some beard hairs up into the cheeks and neck though it would break up that perfect line and make him look more like he shaves with a machete as opposed to a bespoke razor that he bought at a trendy boutique

I think giving him large eyes that look like they have makeup and shiny plump lips probably prevents him from looking rugged tbh lol. I'd use reference for what kind of 'rugged' look you're going for and identify what about them makes them rugged. I'd recommend making facial hair and eyebrows a bit more messy, since they look a bit too clean cut and pampered.

I think the only reason that I'm not 100 about him....is that his shoulder muscles aren't thick, and his neck is longer. If you look at muscle guys...ok, Imma age myself, but Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime in predator and Rambo? You'll see what I mean. Also, not to sell you short, but you have grown! I'm thinking next time, perhaps a scar or two across the face, some bulging veins across the arms? Just some ideas! Keep it up, hon. Can't wait to see your next project
