As an American I strive to be the sort of person a Japanese rake thinks I am. The new driveway looks great!

Your car park is so nice and pretty! That was a lot of work! I hope you can rest for several days. Please do drink plenty of water and juice. What caring neighbors you have. 🩷 Im sure you will have a lot of fun designing your garden. I can hardly wait to see it! Thanks for sharing. Your sweetheart is precious. 🩷

Thanks! Appreciate the comment! There’s quite a few levels to consider when I take and edit video. I like to use video document things for my memories and learn about a variety of stuff. Then find genuine value and entertainment for others to hopefully enjoy :)

Just found your channel. Watching from Columbus, Ohio In the U.S. one option for your gardening being that you have very limited space is some vertical gardening. There are ton's of options to choose from and what you want to grow either veggies or ornamentals. Enjoyed watching your channel, love Japan and wish I could visit or even live there. But for now I can live thru you!!

That's great progress on your yard. Seems like you can probably add more rock retention along the shed just to get rid of the weeds and have more space for putting things next to the shed. Can't wait to see more updates.

The balcony should have a roof right to the shed wall and sloping backwards the roof to the space at the back where you have snow gully right

It's all coming together wonderfully. The glass doors and balcony sound like a great idea, too. Might I suggest that you look for an experienced gardener in your area who would be willing to consult and advise? There is so much of importance to the success of a garden that goes into the preparation of the soil before you start to plant. If you choose to do so, you might also learn about what might best thrive in each of the areas of your garden since you will need to take snow and where it piles up into account along with the different zones around the house. Each will have its unique light and heat conditions throughout the seasons and a good garden will have something of interest going at all times of the year. Most people make the mistake of going to the garden center with huge enthusiasm and a great deal of ignorance to buy pots, plant them without proper preparation and end up wasting a good deal of money.

Great Job....a LOT of hard work !! You are making a very nice home for yourself...I have only been watching you for a couple of months but your determination is admirable. I assume you can speak Japanese? Not that its any of my business...but how do you earn income for living and travelling? Keep up the good work...Dave in Canada

A lot of behind the scenes moving heavy stuff 😂 I have about 10 years of Japanese language learning/usage. My income has always been construction related. I’m a project manager and like to do hands on projects. This has been my lifestyle for many years now. Thanks for the comment!

That looked like fantastic soil! Nice and rich. If you need some for later could you bring some of it back to level elsewhere? I agree on the sliding door idea. It will open up the space. My "main" concern is with your water main. What keeps it from freezing up in the winter?

Good work on the parking spot. If for some reason the slider doesn't work then a bay window there might be a good option.

Are you allowed to build a car port to drive your car into? I like the sliding door idea! Add a little roof so you don't get wet unlocking it. By the way I'm applying for pre business visa at Japanese embassy so I can get 4 months visa to start a Japanese company. Any tips?

he mentioned in another video that the weight of the snow is an issue on car ports (you basically need a steel or concrete structure to handle the weight).

Mark no way I would have done that to my Garden, I would have made due with the garage. I don’t think you considered that you will have all the snow compounding itself on your vehicle every winter which will make it harder to start.
