As I explained in this video, I took the basic idea of this bag from Japanese traditional Kinchaku bags.
The measurements of the materials of the bag from the original video are here:
main panels (cut 2) 43cmx23cm
seam allowance 1.5cm
loop pieces (cut 6) 4cmx7cm for 1cm wide loop bands
distance between the loops approx 6.5cm
(I had limited materials left so I was able to make only 6 loops)
diameter of the cardboards (cut 2) 10cm
the diameter of the bottom panels (cut 2) 13cm
cords (cut 2) 80cm
When I originally made this bag, I didn't measure everything and I didn't plan the process, so you may need to fine tune it for your purpose...
You can make the bottom panel into a square or a hexagon shape too!
The bag with red cords in the video is also one of the traditional drawstring bags. Let me know you are interested to learn how to make that one as well.
