Video quality and craftsmanship are excellent. You’ve got a winning formula here and I’m certain you’ll grow at a staggering rate if you continue. I’ve always wondered why I haven’t seen more people use this method of heating metals. I’m sure it still has its compromises but it still didn’t seem like a terrible idea to me. Im glad I could see it used here! I am greatly impressed with your work. You’ve got my subscription

Thank you for your support, 🍻 This heating method is limited by frequent replacement of coils, but I am willing to compromise, because the heat spreads less, the heating efficiency is high, and it is fast.

Well done young sir. The hamone is very clear, and I think the second handle has much more character in the wood grain, I'm curious about the brass bolster and pommel. Is the mottled antiquing something intentional? It looks amazing to me, I'm just curious, I'm not very savvy as smelting goes.
@HansKnives2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, you have watched the video carefully, the mottled brass is an unexpected result, I haven't figured out the reason yet. I like the result though.

Hans hi, I really like how you shoot videos.Tell me, when you carefully shoot the details up close, do you change the lenses or do you shoot everything with one lens?
@HansKnives2 жыл бұрын
I'm really happy that you noticed these shooting details. The camera I use is a Panasonic G85, the lens is an Olympus 12 42 F4 35mm equivalent focal length 24/84. The Panasonic camera has an extension function without loss of image quality, which further magnifies the image for close-up shots.

Files are designed to cut one way otherwise you damage the teeth, sand paper on the other hand will cut in all directions (minus the paper backing.)
@dkrako12 жыл бұрын
Have a watch of this video by fireball tools. You will find that filing backwards really doesn't do much at all and isn't as detrimental to the file as people think. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpPcnJyZYpKGgaM
@NoNeedForSensorsOnYouTube2 жыл бұрын
False. I challenge you to prove it. I use files throughout the day, each and every day in my line of work. I'm a hazardous tree removal Expert of 26 years and I've been sharpening my chains with files even longer than that. Edit: A file is harder than the material you cut with it for a reason and no amount of dragging is going to damage or dull it in the least.
@bearnecessitits2 жыл бұрын
Also sanding in one direction prevents creating multiple planes on a surface. If you want a single flat surface, sand in once direction with control.

I always have to ask, if you are going to pin it in place then why glue it? If you are going to glue it then why pin it?
@sajinkahnalt2 жыл бұрын
From my research and admittedly limited experience, its really just because two modes of bonding is better than one. If there’s a failure with chemical adhesion with no mechanical adhesion that’s just it. Failure with mechanical adhesion with no chemical adhesive is the same. TLDR, it’s just a good insurance policy regarding longevity. I do suppose another possible benefit with the mechanical and chemical components is that the glue or epoxy can serve as an oxide deterrent for the metal under the scales for a prolonged period.
