Making a Leather Camera Strap // Leatherworking

Handmade, adjustable neck strap featuring antiqued brass hardware, a double-sided hand-stitched neck pad and custom debossed initials. A quality, timeless piece of kit to accompany and protect your favorite camera!
The leather in this project is 3-4 oz veg tan, dyed light brown with Fiebings leather dye, oiled with neatsfoot oil and finished with carnauba creme. Check out the links below for all of the tools and materials I used in this project!
I debossed the initials with a custom stamp, 3D printed on my Prusa i3 MK3S. The stamp is printed in PLA using 100% infill, and the letters have 0.075" of relief. Before debossing, I gave the face of the letters a light sanding with 220 grit sandpaper to get rid of the 3D printed surface texture.
The strap is adjustable with buckles, allowing you to comfortably carry your camera around your neck, over your shoulder or across your chest.

Very nicely done and good detail on the process. You might want to rethink the snap connectors that join the camera to the strap, however. Over time, the camera body will suffer wear from the rub against the metal connector. And certainly, different cameras require different style connectors. What is the style of hand punch you are using to make the rivet holes? It looks very efficient in its action. Thanks for sharing.
