Making a Leather Pocket Slip for the WESN Allman Knife

So I picked a kit from Tandy and some leather scraps. Started practicing on the scraps and can't wait to start making keyrings, card holders, wallets and what ever else I can think of. Thanks for the inspiration to get out there and start crafting.

Nice looking, clean and simple. But. How could we make the sleeve so the knife is easier to grab, but still snug enough to safely hold the knife in? Perhaps a cutout in the top front? Or maybe a cutout near the bottom so you could hook a finger on the bottom and slide the knife up?

Curious - What size thread are you using in the Tandy sewing machine? That machine lays down some pretty nice stitches. Also...make the presser foot indent a "design feature". Adjust your wing dividers and make the line extend from top to bottom vertically on each side to give it a little visual depth. Just a thought. =)

You got me started leather crafting. Then I see you’re into shooting and now knives! We might be twins. I was working on sheaths for some of my blades next. Love these blades you got from Wesn, great edc blade shape. Would love one. It was funny I made my first field note case and added accent pieces sort of like your no68 wallet that I love. Had it with me at Tandy leather. First thing the sales guy says is “you’ve been watching Corter Leather” love the vids. Hope to get to your level one day, but having fun with it on the way!
