Making a Marquee style sign

Making a lighted sign for a friend's restaurant. The sign represents the last time the Cleveland Indians won the world series. The lettering and numbers are based of the 1948 Cleveland jerseys (with proportional changes). Go see the sign in person at Lucci's in Kent, Ohio. Opening soon. I have a lot to learn about shooting good quality video.

I made one like this saying HOT DOG I used ping pong balls cut in half and this light follow the link they are low cost and worked great

Hello what kind of wood putty are you using on the seams or is that an epoxy?

+Internet Chick Just using Durham's water putty. It's not very hard but it covers seams and sands up nicely. Available at most hardware stores. $2 a can.

What are the size of the sockets? What are names of the sockets? What sizes are the bulbs?

+Brad McDill +jules enriquez - Got all the lighting equipment at Action Lighting www.actionlighting.com/ The sockets are called candelabra socket and I got 7 W bulbs. The lowest wattage they sell.

+Ben Daigneau Unfortunately these sockets aren't sold in the UK. Is it correct Ben that these self connect with a turn of the back of the socket? Looks a neat idea if it does. Do you then just connect a plug on the end once wire has been threaded through them all

Yes that back of the sockets have two little spikes. The wire gets pushed onto the spike when the piece on the back is turned. I just found a carnival light supplier here in the states and the guy there told me what to get for what I had planned. Maybe there's and industrial light supplier there that could help you out.

Sorry man. Just saw this. I got them from Action Lighting. They're real carnival bulbs. Beware they put a lot of heat and aren't cheap. But they look great.
