Totally, remember that old cartoon where the wood cutters cut down an entire tree, then a machine shop whittles the entire tree down to a toothpick? This guy has metalworking skills I would kill for, plus infinite calm and patience it seems, but he's so bad at estimating material usage & wastage. Could've done this entire build with a bolt a quarter the size, and a tiny sliver of brass.

@@joanschwanz7970 Maybe if I should ever find myself contemplating the tools I'd need to tunnel out of prison, a hand forged 3-inch machete wouldn't be at the top of my list. Obviously, if you happen to HAVE it, you use what you got. But, if you're is a situation in which you're thinking "I know what would be really useful right now... a 3-inch machete. It would scratch this mortar between these blocks so much more aggressively than this wooden toothpick!", you're chancesof success are not good.

Long time metal finisher here. Tip; When your buffing/polishing wheels get "dished" out like that in the center, you need to put the outside surfaces of both together in the center which will make your buff high in the center & then you can rake it back to flat using a hacksaw blade.

I have heard the phrase turn your Swords into ploughshares, but never turn your Stainless bolts into Mini Machete. You do excellent work. Hope to see more video by you.

I love that your videos are not shown in fast motion. Now and then that's ok for particular tasks, but for the whole video, it's too jarring. I'd rather see shorter clips and regular speed than the entire process sped up. This is much more satisfying.
