As watching some of the stuff he does, yes he has some good machining skills, but I wouldn't call him a machinist. I don't say that as a bad thing. He is far more like a fabricator. I do like something that I bet most people over look. As a machinist, nothing is worst that trying to machine a weld that someone took an angle grinder to. I think it goes to show that he knew better. He didn't take an angle grinder to it. He straight took it to the lathe. Hybrid machinist and fabricator.

This channel inspired me to make my own tools, I’ve started forging and a little machining. I’m no where near as good as this man is, but hopefully one day I will be.

I am 74 yr. and served a six-year apprenticeship as a Machinist and Toolmaker. I can tell you are a very skilled craftsman mainly by the way you handle your files!

The best channel and craftsmanship of this genre, no question. I’d love to see a video explainer of different nameplate making approaches with various materials (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.) Maybe over on your Insights channel. Really enjoyed the one you did there about bluing.
