Wow. Very nice! It really looks authentic. I believe they did use animal fat, tallow, which gave it a creamy color. It looks nice. 🕯

You saved the day Little Mouse as my chandelier needed candles. It’s a bit of an old light fitting and I could not think how to make candles. I tried tiny dowel, plastic tubing etc but then saw your idea of adding softened wax and the effect is lovely. The addition of the wire wick made the job much easier. So thrilled to bits. On today with tankards as chandelier took over my spare time and then visitors and life got in the way.

I'm happy that it made you happy. I've solved my barrel conundrum by gluing the wooden tops from cholula hot sauce bottles, available in the uk, filling the sides with air dry clay, bit of a sand and then paint. I used a metallic pen for the barrel hoops. My husband loves chilli and I'm a craft hoarder so I knew the tops would come in handy one day. They also make wonderful cauldrons . And I've finished my tudor rose rug and am now cross stitching a seat cover for my tudor settle. I can't wait for your next project. You are very talented

@donnahollins5071 I'd really like to see the barrels! I love the Cholula hot sauce (also available in the U.S.), and I also save the lids. LOL I've seen someone make a miniture tea kettle from one I wish I could remember whom! Your house sounds fantastic.

Reference your lost glue cap. I found that the screw on caps from plug in air fresheners fit on glue bottles. I now save them. Saves $$$ from dried up glue. ( I use glade on my becan's 3n1 and air fresh for tacky glue bottles)

The jewelry tassel was a perfect solution for hanging the chandelier. Definitely, jewelry pliers will make your work easier, and they are not expensive. The chandelier is ideal for the house.❤

@thelittlemouseshouse absolutely gorgeous house you're obviously very talented. Just a suggestion/ thought. If you had or could get hold of, a black/ grey eyeshadow, would that not make relatively convincing soot, wiped on? Or even perhaps sort of flicked on?... I believe it's called spattering?
@thelittlemouseshouse Жыл бұрын
@@bonnieharris4538 Thank you for the suggestion! I tend to find that chalk pastels and eyeshadow are quite similar so I’m not sure if it would stay on.. but worth a try next time! Thank you for taking the time to leave an idea ☺️

It's lovely hearing purring, I really like pigeons cooing too, nature has such lovely animal sounds, they are brilliant for destressing. This chandelier is perfect! I have got totally sidetracked in my own miniature project. I am making a little farmhouse to go beside the bigger Tudor House kit. It's a kit too that I converted to be a farmhouse, it's not completely correct but once I put some thatch on it will look more like its from the middle ages (hopefully lol). It's like a bedroom upstairs and a kitchen downstairs so we will see, I am not going to make it fancy, the animals and the people pretty much both live In the farmhouse.

A hint to make putting on the jump rings easier, they are meant to open by twisting them sideways not by pulling the loops open. You hold the ring next to the opening on each side then twist. And to close you twist the opening closed. Never pull them open and push them closed.

Such a sweet project! I've been enjoying going through the progress and your ingenuity is so wonderful, poppy heads, brilliant! I would have never thought of something so special, wonderful idea and the result is quite fabulous. This little chandelier is quite delightful and how lucky were you to happen to have the perfect chain for it 😉. My only suggestion I would put up would be to lose the lobster clasp as it really detracts from the hard work you have already put into this hall, just simply replace it with one of those round rings you cut off the bracelet chain, I truly think it would go a long way in keeping what you've already accomplished more cohesive - the devil's in the details after all. Either way, really stunning and marvelous ingenuity you have used throughout so far, will be interesting to continue to watch it grow!
