Hi Colin, Thanks for the mention and yes tea we need it to lubricate the brain for all this iTrains stuff so well done for sorting out the point motor with your system and the neat way of mounting them with the amount of stuff you will have on this railway anything you can do to not have to get out and under will be good for you I am sure. You have started doing the baseboards and some track how long are you looking at to start the major works on one level, hopefully the one with the bridge so we can see trains run across it it will be super to see. Cheers Robert.

@robertstrainset6556 Hi Robert thank for commenting very much appreciated. This iTrain is very exciting. And I have started laying track in America, yah 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. I've laid my first bit up to the track that goes through the tunnel then on to the bridge I have been a bit naughty and put a temporary piece on to bridge nearly half way round just to see it moving on it, and that is putting a big smile on my face. I may do a sort video and share it. Keep well my friend. Colin

Hello Colin Good explaination of the MP1's, I'm hoping to get some soon when I can pre-order them as they seem to sell out straight away! Very neat wiring too I may say. Thanks

@peterjackson-cheadleheath1182 Hi Peter I only need 240 more but don't worry i won't get them all at once 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. That's very kind of you to say the wiring was neat. I'm trying hard to make it simple to see and work it out. Colin

200 more points 😱 you definitely will need ITRAIN to remember all those 😇 Fantastic little figures 👀 Clarkson will probably take over "England" by the time you've built it 😎 so you better get into Top Gear 🤭 Very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️

@Wickford_N_Gauge Hi Paul and hello from Woodthorp International. The figures are great, track is at last starting to be layed in America hooray🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. All the best. Colin

I see you use LoDi, I just switched over to the LodI system. Been using their Lodi-Con for a while now with a Z21 system. I'm also using MTB-MP switches too. Great setup with the electronics!

@NEC_Amtrak Hi I think it's a great system, the LoDi-Con hand set is lovely to use. I'm impressed with the mp1 I'm going to need 234 points and motors. I have subscribed to your channel. Colin

@@collinsngauge5493 Wow, that is a lot! I do have 4 - 12 packs of DCC Concepts Cobalt iP Analog point motors still new in box for super cheap. If interested, LMK.

@@collinsngauge5493 I did some testing. You can drive the MP-1 with 8V and it uses under 100ma while in motion. You can use the Operator 16--SD-FL and control 8 switches. The LoDi website even mentions using the 16-SD-FL for the MP1 too as each output can handle 150ma. You can save some money but not having to buy more 4-WD-DC (or -AC) that only does 4 switches. At 8V the MP-1 moves just fine. The speed is more prototypical IMO. This is what I am going to do.

@@collinsngauge5493 I just put a video up testing mA draw on 8 x MP1s moving simultaneously at 9.5vdc. 746mA was the max recorded. Well under the 2000mA max for the 16-SD-FL. Hope this helps.

Hi Colin! I was interested in those MP1's originally, but they were never in stock, hence going down the servo route! They look a little larger than I thought they were, especially if you have to mount them lengthwise, facing the point! I know they're designed for mounting under the baseboard, but like you, I'll be mounting them in foam as you know! Love those Clarkson figures, will have to look out for them at GETS! Have I asked if you're going this year? All the best, Ian.
@collinsngauge54932 ай бұрын
@iansngauge Hi Ian I'm doing my best to get to GETS. I like the mp1 I hope this isn't going to be a bad move. Sorry not had time to look at your last two videos but we will. Colin

@@collinsngauge5493 - I'm sure the MP1's will be great - as long as you can get hold of them! No worries about watching videos, we all have real world things going on too! You do get a mention in my latest one - although I spelled Woodthorp with an 'e' so sorry about that! :) It would be great to meet up at GETS if you can make it! Cheers, Ian.
@collinsngauge54932 ай бұрын
@iansngauge As it turns out Woodthorp on the American layout is going to have a, e on it. England isn't, because my name hasn't got a e on the end. And as for Japan it doesn't have any letter we would know. 🤣🤣

@iansngauge Sorry forgot to say we will watch them because we really enjoy them and there very interesting.

Hello Colin I hope you're doing ok and i hope you're sister is doing better. Clarkson farm figures are brilliant! Unfortunately train automation is to much for my little brain. Take care.
@collinsngauge54932 ай бұрын
@ModelRailwayShed Hi Deano I'm very well and happy to say my sister is home amazingly at one point they gave her 2.5 hour to live, but she not 100% and never will be but home. The figures are great they did put a smile on my face. What I love about the automation I can still drive a train myself and so can Gemma but that will still leave as least 10 trains for iTrain to play with. Do look after yourself. Colin

Hi Colin - It was lovely to see you all at TINGS, although personally I found the show quite dissapointing. Regarding those points you purchased at the show. Like you I can get away with using all the large range, I was holding off until they came out in Unifrog, but Peco have got back to me and this is their reply 'I have asked the question, unfortunately , we cannot give a timeline on the role out of Unifrog for the C55 range but we are working on upgrades over the next few years' So under these circumstances I think I might just go all the way with everything in Electrofrog, exactly the same as the ones you picked up. Any views on that Colin?
@collinsngauge54932 ай бұрын
@Chris-BognorRegis Hi Chris it was fantastic seeing you at the show. Even if they did unifrogs I would still put power to the frog, interesting that they put the wire there for it, so for me they know it can still not be 100%. So I would always use electro frogs. For me I would rather they bring the points out in concrete version. Do look after yourself. Colin
