Amazing. How do you keep them in terms of humidity and light? Any videos on that?

Is your mushroom bed your own mix or is this something you buy?
@urbansasquatch55374 жыл бұрын
@GlockWiseSB but you still need spores, it won't just start growing shrooms if you add those materials
@urbansasquatch55374 жыл бұрын
@GlockWiseSB that is mushroom substrate that has been inoculated, you are completely wrong

Is it not possible to keep the mushrooms alive and sustained on the same mushroom block? And after the caps die, how long does it take for the caps to grow back, considering the stem is still alive
@TangoNevada Жыл бұрын
The stems don't stay alive. They both die together. Usually in days,. Stems will not regrown caps. They are all part of the same fruiting body.

I'm still kind of a beginner in terrarium making but would love to grow some mushrooms. Does anybody know if you still have to buy spores to put in the mushroom bed or are they already mixed in? And also, how often do they need watering?
@drybones3581 Жыл бұрын
I just make soil and Moss together put it in a jar then wet it a lot and just put it in a dark corner I'm not sure if it will work or not

The video was relaxing, and I'm happy to find out that it's possible to grow mushrooms in a terrarium! Also, by chance is the piano piece from Your Lie In April anime?

This is a lot of work for something that only last a very short period of time. Any way to preserve it? Once they get to the desired height could you pour in epoxy resin and preserve them in that state? Otherwise it's dead within a week and you need to start over.

I like taking pictures, so I shoot and archive them as works.

If you replace only the part where mushrooms grow, you can grow them as many times as you like. I maintain one work for 2-3 years.

Any ideas on how to make this, but self sustaining and closed with re-occurring fruiting?
@Van-Leo3 жыл бұрын
when making a closed terrarium often times you may end up with mushrooms on accident if there's too much water, dead leaves, or not enough spring tales. use isopods instead since they prefer plant matter than mold. if you're lucky enough to find a mushroom on a stick you can just put it in and depending on its needs it will reproduce on its own. as long as it has its nutrients it shouldn't die, but id imagine the tinfoil and shrink wrap he uses also limits the life span of the mushrooms since it cant expand from the first mycelium block and uses up all its nutrients. i doubt it would over run a closed tank but its not impossible.
@hunterhuie15503 жыл бұрын
y’all need to realize the shrooms won’t keep alive or keep regrowing over and over forever and always be there lol. they only fruit a few times then they’re done for
