Big chamfer is not allowed on o ring grooves, only a very small radius or just deburr to prevent cutting o ring on instaling it. Anodising the parts will help with corrosion issues.

I wouldn't say the chamfer was big. This is not the final tank, this is just a part of making the full air gun.

Buy some correct carbide tool tips for aluminum, un coated polished carbide.

HSS would be best because carbide isnt beneficial on mini lathes due to lack of torque. I will learn to grind my own HSS tooling

If price is a concern copper is more expensive than aluminium and weaker too, you'll need more material and thicker walls on the reservoir to achieve same strenght at equal amounts of pressure, raising the price even more.

In an oxygen tank yes, but under ordinary air which is mostly nitrogen it should not have any issues with synthetic silicoine oil

Salam aleykum Increasing the power of a spring powered air gun cannot be done the same way a PCP air gun can be tuned. All you can do is replace the spring for a stronger one, you might find some stronger springs online if you know the specs of the sr1000s spring.

I'm guessing like on my mini lathe slow speed is terrible so I also turn the chuck by hand. The lead screw is however connected with the right gear ratio for the pitch. Your using slow speed muscle instead of crappy electric motor 😅😅😅
