I can never work out how long to cut the wire for the second loop. I've wasted soo much wire with making it too short 🙄

Very useful. Would love to know a tip for when you have a bead on an eyepin and need to do the second loop.

I've seen other videos on loop making but none of them start by filing the end flush. That makes perfect sense so thanks for that tip! I use bail making pliers to get the same size loop each time when needed. But you can use a sharpie on round nose pliers to mark where to hold the wire.

Yes great tip on using the bail making pliers! And you are right giving the end a little file just makes it that tiny bit more of a snug, professional finish :-)

I really struggled with this.. eventually I just got myself some one-step loopers. Made a world of difference!

Yes it’s a great tool but they often create an open loop, and way too often, when done for a dangle bead or a column of beads, they leave too much room between the top bead and the loop. I got a looper because I have arthritis and it’s been disappointing. 😢

@@4givenembracd618 when that happens I use the tip of my round nose pliers to close them gently. I love using them because I get consistent sizing on all my loops. Sorry to hear about the arthritis.. my mom has terrible arthritis too but she massages her joints with organic castor oil and it reduces the inflammation a lot. Maybe you could try a little patch test to see if you have a reaction, and if not, give it a go?

Yes it is slightly open so that you can attach a charm or other element, then you can use your pliers to tuck it in again so that it butts up to the wire so its nice and snug. x
