It boggles the mind that a guy can make videos by himself in his shop and be 100 times better than anything a network can produce. The network suits collectively scratch their heads wondering why TV is dying. Well done sir.

Network TV is dead as a concept. The digital world has made video recording and editing much simpler so almost anyone can do it. And there are far more talented people hiding out there in the weeds than there are networks. Networks are over bloated with suits who know nothing about what people really want. They have to sell their crap at exorbitant prices to cable cos just to keep the suits well healed. I gave up on cable TV and only stream on my Apple. tV equipment and on my iPad. I turned the cable news on the other day and I could not believe the advertising. I went back to streaming pronto. In future I will drop cable entirely and get network channels via digital antenna. I just use Apple TV, Netflix and Prime and youtube (a lot!) because of Pask and his ilk. May they thrive. Cable $ will be redirected to producers like him.

Great little gem of a channel. Pask has a nice niche showing us how to do things sensibly and cheaply without a lot of large expensive equipment. Some of these yield excellent handy tools which in themselves are nice one day or weekend projects. Keep this going, please.

Thumb up for all that file work! There is something quite soothing about dragging a file over the work and watching it slowly take shape. Much more rewarding than a screaming angle grinder.

Great stuff here. I love learning things. The oil finish on the steel is new to me, it looks great! Useful in my area as well with summer storms in the morning sometimes and 95°F by the afternoon as so often happens in the summer months. Functional and looks great. Also I think most people would have simply glued the handle in the hammer head in some way. Compressing the fibers seems like one of those things people learned over generations to work better and last longer, one of those things that's nearly forgotten today. I will likely be using that knowledge as well. Love your videos keep them coming!

Very good. I've got a vintage E.C. Emmerich Primus smoothing plane that my dad passed on to me, love using it, better than my iron bodied equivalent. I've just been using a wooden mallet to set the blade, but this hammer idea looks great, will definitely build one.

Thanks. Got the handle made, and the head on it, but broke the top of the handle driving the wedge. I think I as a bit aggressive with the angle of the wedge. Have to see how it holds up under some use, it is only a tack hammer, so it may work for years without an issue.
