Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. Apparently you are a master of clay and plaster, who knew?

Wow I recently connected with your videos Mr Andy. So excited to see your comment below mine. Thank you for linking me to Tony's web site. I'm a newly one handed (wanna be)Potter, so I'm soaking this stuff up like a sponge. Many blessings.

This makes a lot of sense I made a flat slab version but this makes far more sense especially for the more liquidity clay. If you had done so you could increase the strength by hiding some chicken wire in the form. Or hide some knotted rope ends with loops sticking out of the form to make handles.

Thanks so much for this video. I literally was about to order plaster powder to do some bowls but I prefer your way of doing them much more. I'm definitely going to make a troft. A million thanks from Éire (Ireland 🇮🇪)

Try a strip of cardboard inside your clay walls. Then you can just pour it in 😊

That is really good to know. I've seen people explain how to use drywall before, but this is the first time I've seen someone explain how to use plaster for a curing bowel. Thank you.

If plaster will stick to the casting form but not to clay, could you cover the casting form with a thin layer of clay as a barrier?

You could use a clay slip but soap is what’s recommended
