Your art dolls are awesome 😎 you have been inspiring me to make my own, I just gotta get supplies! I’ve been improvising with wefts of yarn because I don’t have access to faux fur at the moment. When the clay feels too stiff I add a tiny amount of translucent liquid sculpey to make it more pliable 👌

Creatures of Nat 🙂 I just noticed I left out some things in my original comment so I’m going to edit it to actually make sense haha My son and I watch your videos together, he really liked this one. He doesn’t know fantastic beasts though, he just thinks it’s a platypus named Niffler 🤣

How big were the eyes you used?

Awesome job!!! Just a quick tip- when using polymer clay (ie super sculpey) you can use clay softener, TLS or baby oil added to the clay to soften it to your liking. New sub! You're VERY talented! You captured the niffler PERFECTLY!!! ❤❤ Also, you could add liquid clay - (Bake and Bond or TLS aka translucent liquid Sculpey) before placing the prebaked nails in the unbaked clay for added strength. TLS works like a glue, especially when adding already baked clay to unbaked clay. In case you are concerned about them possibly coming out 😊 God bless ❤❤❤

Thanks! Yup I used some baby oil to soften it up a little. :) Thanks for subbing too!

May I ask what kind of armature wire did you use (in terms of thickness) ? I'm making a niffy as well.. but am a newbie when it comes to wire. I love your tutorial, thanks.

Can you bake the head with glass eyes? Or is this a Problem? I just wanna start this hobby and I think you video has been incredible helpful ♡
@CreaturesofNat6 жыл бұрын
I've never had an issue baking glass eyes, I usually set it a lower temperature and bake it for longer.

Thank you :-) I started yesterday and am already frustrated because mine doesn't look so good as yours 😅 I have so much trouble with Sculpey because my hands are always so warm that everything is super soft and I can see my Fingerprints everywhere! I hope I'll finnish my started Nifflers, I wanted to make a big one and a baby 😁
@CreaturesofNat6 жыл бұрын
@@serasnathi4275 Haha ah I think soft is a good thing! I'm not really a fan of using Super Sculpey, I fins it too hard, I much prefer softer clays to work with.

What do you use for cat whiskers? I've seen your cat commisions and it really brings the creation together!
