Making a practice patu with polymer clay😅

Today I made something that ressemble a patu, a war club used by the Māori. It should be made of wood or stone, something hard, but I don't know how to do this so I used polymer clay that hardens when baked. I can't hit with it of course but it's kind of heavy and that's what I was looking for. The spatula I used once was much too light and didn't have the right shape. After using my new patu a few times I could already feel the burn in my shoulder! I tried some moves but I still have everything to learn so they suck but it's ok for now. I'll work on the them😉

You have no idea😅 I'm a "it's all or nothing" person. But I'm going to make one from wood. This was just to have something with enough weight for the moment. I'm mentally ready for the real mahi now😉
