Omg. you. Are. My. Idol. That dress is beautiful, just like you (I am not hitting on you by the way). It is so crazy that you could do this in only 24 hours!! And you are right, that bodest is fitting you perfectly. I envy your fabric collection. You had me, when you made the joke about the type of clocks... I am currently making a summer dress for myself and until now, I am three days in (including a week of break time). But that is because I’m a perfectionist, so nothing can be crooked and has to be resewn and I take ages to draw a pattern piece. Right now I am trying to figure out how to do the skirt part, with the limited fabric I have.Well, it is my first big project so I guess it’s okey. Lots of admiration, Tabea ❤️
@MicarahTewers6 жыл бұрын
Aww thank you! Good luck on the dress! I admire perfectionists like you. Most of what I do is fairly sloppy, so hopefully someday I'm more like you! And as for my collection, honestly most of what I have comes from years of hitting up the curtain sections of goodwill and Salvation Army!

I’m actually pretty impressed, this came out beautifully! I’m actually studying costume technology (basically, how you make garments), so I know how hard this can be. The zip tie boning made me laugh, because I 100% have done that before. One suggestion, though, rather than taking each bodice pattern piece individually and then sewing the fashion fabric and lining wrong sides together, turning right side out, then sewing the pieces together, maybe try sewing all of the fashion fabric pieces together, all the lining pieces together (kind of like making 2 bodices), then sewing the lining and fashion fabric bodices right sides together! Gives you a cleaner inside, and less bulky seams!
