As a kid l made slingshots in similar way. Only l would not trim the tips, would cover them with rubber. Also we did not have quality bands so would use old bicycle tubes to make bands.

Sure would be nice to know what bands to use, how they are attached and what the pocket is made from. I guess all you need to know is how to cut a "Y" from a branch and everything else assembles itself.
