Drill a couple of 1/16” holes where the lip goes into the bait,this gives the glue something to grab onto

If you don't mind me asking. What netting material are you using when you go to make the scale pattern on them? It kind of looks like some hardware cloth but curious. Just found your channel and all I can say is great work!
@TreysArt2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I use various different things so I’m not sure which you are referring to. Most of the time I just find different types of mesh cloth or window screen material.

@@TreysArt ya sorry I watched a few of your videos before this one lol. The one I was referring to was the video you made title I believe was Wooden Lure Making For Beginners. But since you said window screen I'm willing to bet that's what it was, cause it held it's shape after you wrapped it around the lure. Have never made one yet, but have always been into various kinds of art. Now I'm older and taking my kids and neice and nephew fishing and after watching you, I believe I'm gonna have to at least give it a try. You do amazing work in my honest opinion. 👊

Thank again and I’m glad to have given you some inspiration. I’d say just dive straight in to start getting past the learning curve. I find it really enjoyable even if I don’t catch fish or end up losing lures.

Great job! What type of pens do you use? Those seem to work really well.

Usually I use pigma microns and gelly roll for the white. My airbrush is the iwata eclipse.

have you tried u v glue ,it’s so cool it stays liquid untill you shine a uv light on it ,and zap it’s hard as a rock ,you can make 100 eyes in the time it took to make 2

Fantastic. Are you using a standard type air compressor ( 25 litre type ) for the Iwata eclipse? My mate ( passed on now ) was into model making, I cannot remember what airbrush he used although he did great work, tanks, planes and battle scenes etc but I'm almost certain that he used the Iwata Sprint Jet Air Compressor; I remember him complaining about how expensive it was. I'm wondering now if he also used one of the Iwata airbrushes too as I think he purchased them together. I remember his model making skills jumping up a leap after he got it. Again, fantastic work! I think your work was super when you started too!

Thanks man and I’m sorry to hear about your mate. The compressor I’m using is a masters. I can’t remember the size at the moment but it works well. Only prob I have with it is that it’s really noisy and kicks on and off pretty fast while using it. Which is why I try and just cut the audio when I’m airbrushing because it’s not a pleasant sound lol

@@TreysArt No worries, that mate died around five years ago, I'm over it! 😆Sorry I couldn't help myself but that was His type of humour lol. I think my compressor is loud, it's a small shop compressor for power tools. My mates I mentioned was actually pretty quite, well as compressors go. I'm still working my way through your videos, Great stuff! 4:12 am here oop's!

I forgot the name off it at the moment but it’s a utility knife I got from Walmart. Just a cheap one but probably my favorite.

What size wire do you use to make the hook eyes? Where do you get that adhesive tape?

I use .40 mm stainless for the screw eyes and I got the tape from Walmart.
